Welcome to Howard Elementary School, Home of the Howard Huskies!

I am thrilled to invite you and your family to Howard Elementary! As a district, our mission is to work together with our families to build a community of learners who will have the knowledge and skills to succeed in a changing world. We try to honor our vision of having an “authentic, innovative, connected and inspired experience for an ever-changing future.” We know that to do this, we need to celebrate the unique strengths and gifts that each of us have, and we must embrace innovative thinking to work together to achieve success.

At Howard, we are devoted to supporting our students to become life-long learners. Our goal is to provide a secure, caring and nurturing learning environment where students can grow in their academic skills, as well as expand how they relate and work together. We want all students to develop a passion for learning that will be fostered now and carry them into the future. Our skilled and dedicated staff will welcome our students as we celebrate our similarities and differences. We focus on the Howard Husky Way:

Our staff will use high quality curriculum to support academic growth, while being mindful of the developmentally appropriate skills and the whole child.

Personally, I have a passion for building relationships with our students, our families, and our staff. Together we will face whatever this school year may bring. We look forward to a school year where we will engage in hands-on learning, small group instruction, partner work, and independent practice.

The elementary years are an amazing and fast-paced time, and we look forward to working together to support their personal growth, learning academic skills and relationships. We know that a positive home-school partnership will have many benefits towards the academic skills of our students and school.
