December 2022: HSSD and HSBPA Host Career Fair at Bay Port

The Howard-Suamico School District (HSSD) and the Howard Suamico Business Professionals
Association (HSBPA) collaborated to host a Career Fair for Bay Port High School students on
November 3, 2022.

The goal of the Career Fair is to provide opportunities for students to network with local
employers to learn about careers, qualifications, education/training, job opportunities, and the
projected labor market. Students learn about businesses and organizations in their local
community by engaging with professionals who share their experiences and expertise in a variety of career fields.

HSSD students and staff are thankful to the representatives from the following businesses and

It is important for all students to be exploring and planning their career interests and goals while in high school, and preparing through their course work, industry certifications, dual credit
earnings, and youth apprenticeship opportunities. If your business or organization is interested in partnering with HSSD to mentor students in these experiences, please contact Associate Director of College and Career Readiness Becky Walker at beckwalk@hssdschools.org.

The Board of Education is committed to community partnerships that advance opportunities for
all students. Thank you to the HSBPA for supporting a successful Career Fair event.
